Association of Independent Schools of WA (AISWA) Executive Director, Ms Valerie Gould, celebrated her tenure at the regulatory body last week with a selection of independent school Principals and colleagues.
Ms Gould, who has been at the helm since 2008 and was Deputy Director for five years before that, is retiring from full-time employment later this year.
鈥淚鈥檝e loved the work 鈥 it鈥檚 been a privilege to work with all those schools,鈥 said Ms Gould.
鈥淏ut it鈥檚 just time to step back a bit and let someone else take the reins.鈥
Colleagues and Principals gathered last week to praise Ms Gould鈥檚 support for schools across Western Australia (WA).
AISWA has grown by 4.2 per cent in the last twelve months and now represents 164 schools across WA, with enrolments of 71,893 students and employing approximately 12,265 staff.
Our 无码变态 schools have been the beneficiary of Ms Gould鈥檚 outstanding leadership, particularly during COVID-19, where daily briefings, guidelines and directions became the 鈥榥ew normal鈥 for AISWA and its member schools.
Mr Chris Massey will now take over as Executive Director for AISWA, moving from his position as Director at the University of Western Australia.
